It was with major trepidation that I embarked on our Family Legacy project early in 2017. My son and new daughter-in-law requested that a video be made of all four parents as my wedding gift to them, taking advantage of the fact that we were all still alive and up to the (daunting) task of speaking about ourselves and our family backgrounds. Researching on the web brought me to Michael Rehfield - and thank goodness we found him! No one else could have made me as comfortable speaking about myself as he did, and it was clear all four of us felt the same way. He made me laugh as I stumbled through my initial ramblings, and gently prodded me in the right direction. Ultimately I must have spoken for about 1 1/2 hours, a veritable faucet that could no longer be turned off. Each of us reported feeling similarly comfortable while Michael was filming us, and frankly I was stunned by the resultant videos. Best of all, Michael was able to edit each of us down into a manageable forty-minute preview which we watched together for the first viewing. He surprised us by adding five minutes of the kids describing how they first met - another bonus. I don't think we'll be winning any Oscars, but what we have is a treasure for the ages - one day I hope my great grandchildren might be laughing and crying as they learn about their families. Please consider asking Michael to be your videographer too - and don't procrastinate, once it's done it's really done!

Working with Michael was an absolute pleasure! I hired him to do a legacy video of my grandma who is 93 1/2 years old and a Holocaust survivor. I was a little concerned about how the video would turn out because of how my grandma would be able to articulate all of her stories, and what would the finished product look like. All I can say is that Michael did a phenomenal job! The time, energy, and commitment to this video was unbelievable. He is really a very friendly guy and was easy to work with on the day of the video shoot and afterwards. My grandma was a little nervous at first, but once she started talking, she felt so comfortable. By the end of the day, he had become a part of our family, and I was so appreciative how well the shoot went. Also, he took a beautiful picture of the three generations: me, my mom and grandma together. I love that I have this picture to remember the day and will cherish the memories we made that day. My grandma’s video took him extra time to edit, and I was so grateful for the labor of love that he had for this project. He knew how important it was to me, and he spent the time to make it look great. I would definitely recommend him to anyone, and I will tell you that you’re in good hands. I am so happy to have done this video and know that I will be able to pass it on to my children and grandchildren in the future. This video was so important to me and Michael knew that and went the extra mile to make it even that more special. Thank you!
